The Gathering Fellowship is honored to partner with USA Women’s & Children’s Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center, and the Franklin Health Center to support children and families across our community.
One of our most meaningful outreaches is the Gathering Bear Ministry, a compassionate mission that brings comfort, hope, and reassurance to children during difficult moments.
Each teddy bear is lovingly handcrafted by church members Dawn and Mike Alfonsi, whose creativity and generosity have touched countless young lives. Every bear is prayed over and blessed before being shared, carrying a message of peace, comfort, and care.
These bears are given to:
- Children in hospitals
- Children served through advocacy programs
- Families and children affected by community tragedies
Wherever they are received, the message remains the same:
“You are loved. God is with you.”
Through the Bear Ministry, The Gathering Fellowship continues to offer a simple reminder to children in need—they are not alone, and they are deeply cared for by a compassionate community.
